Boodle fight has really become a trend in presenting food in different restaurants. It gives people the sense of intimacy when eating unlike the formal way.
Originally, it was a military style of eating where long tables are prepared and food are placed on top of the banana leaves. Viands and rice ready to eat using bare hands with the drinks on the side.
The Clej Bar & Restaurant is a new hang-out and food place in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur. It is a family-owned business situated in Mabua, Balilahan, near the city’s bus station. It just opened on the 3rd quarter of 2014.
Clej offers a variety of food and drinks at very affordable prices – very affordable that one may surely wear a smile after eating as he may think that the place offered more than what they paid for.
During our visit, we had Clej Boodle Fight – good for 5 pax. The boodle fight includes deep-fried pusit, lumpia shanghai, kinilaw, pancit, shrimp, chopsuey, plain rice, and a pitcher of iced tea. Sounds pretty expensive but we only paid P499 for everything – that is only roughly around P100 per head!
Aside from its normal operations, Clej accommodates different events – birthday parties, family gatherings, and the like.
If you are looking for a place wherein you could relax and enjoy good food, Clej Bar & Restaurant is the perfect place to go!
