After our trip to Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig City, we headed to La Entrada, a resort in San Agustin, where we would be staying for an overnight to recharge ourselves in preparation for the island hopping the next morning.
When we got there, it was already late and we were already drained so we immediately checked in our room to get some good sleep.
The next morning, we woke up a bit late so after taking a quick breakfast at their restaurant, we immediately headed to our boat which we rented for P1,500, good for 2 hours of island hopping.
Every summer, topping the list of the many is to go for an island hopping or simply just go to the beach with white sand. With a lot of the beaches having dark sand, the ones with the white one are a bit more inviting.
If you have been already to famous beaches and islands in the country and you want to try going to a place which offers more or less the same but is still unexplored by many, the Britania Group of Islands is a must visit destination.
There is a good number of islands/islets that you could drop by during the island hopping. It depends on whether or not the waves are manageable though before you could dock there.
Sadly during our visit, the waves were very big that we couldn’t dock or even just get near the two interesting islets – one with only few coconut trees in it, and one with only pure sand.
Almost all of the tourists that day stayed in the same islet. Everyone was enjoying swimming in the sea, sun bathing, and some just sitting at the shore while enjoying the nature’s bounty.
If there was something that I liked the most about the place is its very fine sand – finer than an iodized salt (not kidding).
The level of the heat of the sun there is a bit unbearable. I recommend you apply sun block so as to avoid getting burnt. And if you want to go swimming, make sure you put on your foot wear as there are a lot of rocks underwater.
There are also limited food available at the island as the supplies are also transported from the town. Just to make sure you have something to munch during your stay there, bring food and drinks.
The above photo is a random shot of the souvenir being sold there. Aside from these shells, there are also other items available which are made of glass and wood.
The trip was brief but I have to say that I really had fun. This is what summer should be all about – consuming vitamin sea.
The above photos are extreme long shot of the Britania Group of Islands that can be viewed at a local craft shop along the way. This really made me wish we had a house with this kind of view. It’s just so calming.
